A dermatologist is a medical specialist qualified in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and nail conditions. Dermatologists achieve their qualification via a rigorous medical and surgical postgraduate training program and are awarded a Fellowship with the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD).
To maintain their specialist qualification, Fellows participate in an ongoing professional development program governed by the ACD. This means your dermatologist's training and knowledge are continually updated throughout their career.
At Frontier, dermatologists provide care across the full scope of the specialty: medical management of chronic skin, hair and nail conditions, surgical treatment including access to Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, and evidence-based cosmetic treatments delivered by our dermatologist-supervised nurse specialists.
A valid referral from your GP or specialist is required to see a dermatologist and to access a Medicare rebate for your consultation.
Frontier Dermatology is located at 294 Charlestown Road, Charlestown. The practice is purpose-equipped for specialist dermatology consultations, surgical procedures and cosmetic treatments.
Onsite parking is available at the rear of the building, including accessible parking. A drop-off bay is located at the front entrance. Street parking and the Hilltop Plaza car park are a short walk away.
