To make an appointment, please call (02) 4022 8739 to speak with one of our receptionists. If your referral is urgent, please ask your doctor to contact us.

Opening hours are 8:30 - 4:30 Monday to Friday
Parking

Onsite parking is available at the rear of the building, this includes disabled parking and access. Alternatively, parking is available on the nearby side streets and the Hilltop Plaza carpark is a ~250m walk. A drop off bay is also available at the front of the building.

Medicare Rebate

A valid referral from your doctor is required to obtain a Medicare rebate. Please arrange for your referral to be sent by email to reception@frontierdermatology.com.au or faxed to (02) 4088 8086. You can make an appointment to see your specialist for a consultation without a referral, however you will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Arrival

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete your patient information and consent form.

What to wear

Face masks are optional for patients and staff at Frontier Dermatology. You are welcome to bring and wear a mask.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing to your appointment so that your dermatologist can easily examine the area of concern. If you wear makeup to your appointment your dermatologist may ask that it be removed.

Photographic consent

Photographs may be taken to document or monitor your skin condition. If you consent to photographs being taken, these form part of your confidential medical record. They are not shared unless you provide written consent to the use of photographs for teaching purposes.

Teleconsultation

In certain circumstances your dermatologist can offer a teleconsultation at the discretion of your treating doctor. This is a fee-for-service appointment. Generally, only follow up appointments are eligible for teleconsultation. Please discuss this with our reception staff if you would like to request a teleconsultation.

Covid Policy

Face masks are optional for patients and staff at Frontier Dermatology. You are welcome to bring and wear a mask.

Please call us to discuss rescheduling your appointment if you have flu-like symptoms or a recent positive Covid test result.

Each patient may have one extra person, such as carer or guardian, attend the appointment with them.

In certain circumstances we can offer a teleconsultation at the discretion of your treating doctor. This is a fee-for-service appointment. Generally, only follow up appointments are eligible for teleconsultation.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring the following to your appointment:
·      Current referral (preferably sent prior to your appointment)
               - GP referrals last 12 months
               - Referrals from specialists last 3 months
·      Any relevant medical history and pathology results
·      List of your current medications
·      List or photos of your skin/hair care products
·      Medicare card
·      DVA, concession or pension card if relevant
·      Mask - optional

Fees & payments

A reduced fee is offered to pension and healthcare card holders.

We do not offer bulk billing.

If you have a valid referral, you will be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for the consultation and associated procedures. Procedures incur an additional charge. You are welcome to request a quote for any procedures that your dermatologist recommends.

Payment is requested on the day of your consultation and/or procedure.

Please note CASH PAYMENTS will NOT be accepted.

Cancellation

If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact reception to reschedule. This enables us to offer your appointment to another patient from our waitlist. Late cancellations or non-attendance will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation cost. To avoid this fee, contact is required 24 hours’ prior to your appointment.

Please note that late cancellations or non-attendance for Cosmetic bookings will incur a  fee of $110.00. To avoid this fee, contact is required 48 hours’ prior to your appointment.
