Covid Policy
We are committed to doing all we can to protect the health and safety of patients and staff, and remain open to provide a service to our region. Please be aware that many of our patients are immunocompromised, and therefore some of our policies may at times go above and beyond current NSW guidelines.
Please call to reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell, have flu-like symptoms, are awaiting a Covid PCR result, or are in home isolation due to a positive Covid test or being a close contact. You may be asked about any symptoms and recent exposures when you arrive for your appointment, and we value your honesty. In certain situations (for example, prior to a procedure involving close facial contact such as skin cancer excision) we may request that you have a Covid PCR test within 48 hours of your appointment, or a rapid antigen test on the day of the appointment – we will communicate this with you prior to your appointment if this is needed. We will gladly reschedule your appointment if necessary.
Until further notice, it is mandatory that everyone over the age of 12 years old MUST WEAR A FACE MASK while on site. Children are also encouraged to wear a face mask if possible. Each patient may have only one extra person, such as carer or guardian, attend the appointment with them.
In certain circumstances we can offer a teleconsultation at the discretion of your treating doctor. This is a fee-for-service appointment. Generally, only follow up appointments are eligible for teleconsultation.
